We're slipping! ack!

Ok ladies, updates, updates, updates! My self included... hahaha

Ok, here's the sick truth.

I was inspired this week. I hit it hard and I checked my weight midweek and had lost almost 2 pounds!!! OH YEAH! Ok... well, then my milk supply disappeared... oh great... (put a dairy cow on a treadmill and I bet theirs would too...) So then I stopped working out. Just stopped, didn't slow down, stopped. Larry said, baby comes first, you gotta have milk! Isn't that nice? Yeah, I actually thought so :)  And then... (yeah, another 'and then') he brought home the valentine's candy for the kids cookies. Ohhhh yummy yummy yummy. All my favorite treats. Oh pooooooooo my poundage!  So yes, I'm back up to my same ol weight. Crumb. But that's what this journey is about. Walking this road, the ups and downs and learning curves.

I'm thinking this week I should get back on the treadmill, but not hit it so hard. I should eat ALL the rest of the v-day candy today so it's gone too.  (what? you don't think that's a good idea?)

How'd your weeks go?

Week 2 & 3 Report

Here we are already 3 weeks into this challenge and I am feeling really good about things. No I haven't lost any weight yet, but I have already noticed a difference in my energy levels.

I was able to successfully workout 3 times each week with each workout being around 45 mins each. I already see some progress in that and I will be able to step up the workouts a bit more now without injury. I am starting to feel more strength and am really looking forward to more.

I definitely have not been watching what I eat that much, but I do try to make sure that I do not consume large quantities of anything.

Now my biggest problem is my lack of stomach muscles. Pregnancy really does a number on that.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

Jocelyn

well well well

Yes, deep thought. How did your weeks go ladies?? I'm still floating at the same number...  I knew this would be a long journey, and it is!! For me at least :)   I am thankful that I'm not gaining though!

I made mennonite squares today.....uumm.

yeah!

I came on to post the same thing! Uh oh, we can't be slipping with our posts already! yiy! Well, anyways, I was gone all day Monday and yesterday was crazy busy. But, I did weigh on Monday, and same same here too. I was able to work out twice last week. It seems I don't get a chance to do it till evening and everyone is settled. Usually I get on the ol treadmill about 10 pm. Last night I really just wanted to crash, but I'm proud of myself, I worked out!! Hopefully this week I'll get in at least 3 workouts!  I'm not really expecting weight loss for another week or so. It usually takes my body 3 weeks of steady working out before it kicks into gear and realizes we're not trying to pack it on anymore!
See you all Monday!

What's happening?

So how did your last weigh in go everybody??? I'm so curious! I stayed the same. Considering I went out for supper 3 times last week and enjoyed cheesey Harvest House Pizza (which probably has enough fat and calories to sink a ship) I'm rather happy to have not gained. Oh, and I was very happy to not have to cook supper either. I did manage to walk 6 days last week, which is quite an accomplishment. Did you know subways 'cheap' subs are only 5 dollars? A foot long no less. Anyway, enough rambling. I hope to hear from ya'll soon.

Week 1 report

Weigh in: 12 (that means I am 2 lbs up from my start weight)

Exercise last week: 3 runs approx 30 mins each, but not terribly successful runs
some pilates moves 5 days, but not a full work out worth. But my body is getting back into the swing of things: no more blisters on my feet and my muscles aren't as sore. I can tell that it is helping with some of my energy levels already.

Eating: Auh, not so good. I have come off the treadmill starving and wanting to consume all in sight (and have consumed more than I should). I need to go off sugar soon, but I am waiting to get rid of some of the Christmas stuff first. Even as I write that though, I don't think that is such a good excuse.

Week #1 Come and Gone

Well today is Monday....my weigh in is tonight but I'm not looking forward to it! I was doing great all week but had way to many tempting desserts on the weekend. My parents even brought a box of chocolates!!! How could I refuse! It's amazing how one bad day can really effect the scale at the end of the week! That's been my experience anyways. At least I'm nursing lots (sick baby) so I shouldn't gain any weight!!!! I've been on my treadmill a couple times this week but I'd like to do it everyday for at least 30 minutes or 2 miles. I also need to get an exercise ball. I really enjoy doing sit ups and push ups with the ball. It's on my list of things to buy! Anyhow, that's life in my zoo. I wish I could make this more of a priority but it's just not realistic! My philosophy on weight loss: Eat Less, Exercise More.

Monday weigh in

Well ladies, how did your first week of the challenge go? Mine was a bit of a flop to be honest.. I only exercised once, and didn't even get in a full workout! Ah well, tis life. We'll see what this week holds. Needless to say, my weight is still at 15.

I find that I need to both work out and watch what I eat to effectively loose weight though. This is hard!! But I'm trying to tell myself that I just need to put some effort into this right now and then it's easier to maintain weight then loose it.

Here's to trying! How did all of your weeks go?

Starting up!

I ridged my scale to get it to work and did my first weigh in. I was surprised to see that I was less weight then I thought. It might sound like good news, but it isn't. It means that I have lost more muscle mass then I thought because I know that my clothes do NOT fit any better.

It means that I will be gaining weight (muscle) before I am loosing. Markus has also decided to stop nursing so this is going to be an up hill battle. I am game though, I have run twice this week and I think that I am just going to do sit ups every time I sit down on the floor with the kids. Haven't quite worked up to altering my diet, but I am sure that will come.

Here is to feeling strong once again.

Focus on the Family

If you go to focus on the family's website and look around they have two talks there about healthy weighloss. I found it very interesting!!

I made it!

Yes, here I am too! I'm feeling unmotivated and tired. Both are good reasons to exercise  more! So, I will attempt to get my rear in gear and compete with you all for some good losses!  I am going to attempt to loose 15 lbs though. I am currently 20-25 pounds over my *pre-babies* weight and I would like to get somewhat close to that again. Here's to hoping it comes off fast! Yay for nursing a baby still!
Hiddi Ho everybody!!!! I'm here, it's Monday, and I'm with ya'll on this beautiful - sweaty - adventure! I must pat myself on the back for offering fruit for dessert tonight. Yes, thank you. A juicy box of caramilk ice cream is calling my name through the floor vents (the freezer is in the basement) however....I'll turn the other cheek and walk away. Ah, my husbands home. gotta run...

Jocelyn is joining

I am throwing in my hat. I need to loose 10 lbs before another baby comes along and there are no guarantees as to when that might happen and I also have a trip I am taking in April that will help motivate me along.

One problem - I don't have a scale so my weigh ins might be sporadic, but I will try.
